About
Looking around at all the other sites designed to help you keep track of your food intake,
we noticed a couple areas where things could be improved:
Objective 1.
Simplify the list of foods from which to choose.
Don't get us wrong, there are probably people out there who want fifty-gazilion types of
chicken to choose from, but wading through all that information can be both
daunting and well, kind of annoying.
By figuring out the most popular forms of food and drink that people consume,
we can create a list of common names to compare against.
Which leads us to...
Objective 2.
Make updating your record of consumption as easy as possible.
Text messages and email are where it's at! Shockingly, nobody else seems to be offering the use
of text messages! We are.
These days, you're virtually never without a cell phone. And if you are, you're almost certainly within an arm's reach of a computer.
So, send us a text message or an email of what you consumed, and then we'll automatically break it down into a couple easy to understand lists; what you had,
when you had it, calories, carbs, protein, fat, and cholesterol -- and then totals for all that stuff. All of which is based off our handy list from Objective 1.
You can send yourself notes too, if you want to remember something about what you had -- maybe
a particularly good brand of wine from dinner, or that you think you might be developing an allergy to mangos.
Or something more useful to you...
(If you upgrade your free account, you can add in your own custom food and drink items, and receive notifications when you reach your
personal daily calorie limit!)
